SHINE Management is providing a scholarship to render financial assistance to qualified students. A qualifying student is defined as a dependent child of a SHINE Management employee. A dependent child is defined as a child living at the employee`s primary residence for a minimum of one year. A SHINE Management employee is defined as an active, full-time employee (at least 30 hours per week) who has been employed by SHINE Management for a minimum of one year.
- Who is eligible for the scholarship?
The following criteria MUST be met:
1. Applicants must be a dependent child of a SHINE Management employee. A qualifying student is defined as a dependent child of an active SHINE Management employee. A dependent child is defined as a child living at the employee`s primary residence for a minimum of one year. A SHINE Management employee is defined as an active, full-time employee (at least 30 hours per week) who has been employed by SHINE Management for a minimum of one year. Employees must be active at the time the award is announced.
2. Applicants must be a high school senior enrolling full-time in a four-year college in the Fall of 2023 or be a current undergraduate currently enrolled, or transferring into, a four-year college in the Fall of 2023.
3. Applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
4. Applicants must be planning to attend a four-year accredited college or university located within the United States.
5. Applicants must be enrolled full-time each semester.
6. Applicants must be 25 years or younger.
7. Applicants must be a U.S. citizen.
8. Applicants must demonstrate traits of high personal character and leadership.

What is the application process?
Applications must be submitted online through the Center for Scholarship Administration (CSA) website. There are three steps to complete the application:
1. Click the "create application" button below to answer the prequalifying questions. When you submit these, it will automatically take you to the profile page.
2. Create or update your profile. Save and continue to the online application.
3. Complete the online application. A confirmation email will be sent when the online portion of your application is complete. Applicant should contact CSA if a confirmation email is not received.
4. Mail in, or email, the packet of additional required materials. See "What constitutes a complete application" below.

You must submit the following additional materials:
• Signed Student Authorization and Acknowledgements Form, found in the online application, signed by the scholarship candidate.
Download the Student Authorization and Acknowledgements Form.• Official transcript with grades and cumulative GPA posted through the latest semester.
• Submit a PERSONAL STATEMENT/ESSAY. Submit a one-page signed personal statement explaining why the scholarship is important to the applicant. Include college and career plans, if known.
Include applicant name and name of scholarship on the page.• Signed list of academic honors, leadership skills, community service, etc.
• LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION. The student must submit two letters of recommendation. One MUST be an academic letter and one PREFERRED employer and/or volunteer/community involvement. However, if unable to provide a preferred letter, you must submit two academic letters. The Letters of Recommendation may be mailed directly to us from the author of the letter. The authors must include the name of the applicant and SHINE Management Scholarship on the letter.
• SEMI-FINALIST could be called for an interview by the SHINE Management Scholarship Committee. The SHINE Management Scholarship Committee consists of one Advisor from its Board of Advisors and SHINE`s Chief Executive Officer.

When is the deadline for submission of materials?

- What is the value of the scholarship award?
The amount of the award will be up to $2,000. Up to $1,000 for the Fall 2023 Semester and up to $1,000 for the Spring 2024 Semester. The awards will be applied to the cost of tuition and fees.
- How is the scholarship paid?
Tuition bills and verification of full-time enrollment (payment form) are required each semester before any scholarship will be paid. Recipients are required to access the Payment Form from the www.scholarshipprograms.org home page. They must sign the form and submit it to their college or university to certify their enrollment and forward to the Scholarship Director for payment. Failure to present the required materials may result in the loss of the scholarship. Unused funds must be credited back to the SHINE Management University Scholarship.
Recipients must provide to CSA an official transcript at the end of the SPRING semester before payment can be made for the fall semester. Recipients must also provide to CSA a grade report at the end of the FALL semester before payment can be made for the spring semester. The grade report/transcript must contain names of classes with grades and a cumulative GPA. The student's name, social security number or student ID number, and name of high school or college must be on the grade report/transcript. It is the responsibility of the recipient to request the grade report/transcript. A GPA falling below the required minimum at the end of ANY semester WILL result in the loss of the scholarship. - What college may I attend?
You must be a full time student enrolled at any accredited, exempt, educational four-year college or university within the United States provided the institution meets the following requirements.
The institution must be an educational organization that normally maintains a regular faculty and curriculum and normally has a regularly enrolled body of pupils or students in attendance at the place where its educational activities are regularly carried on. To the extent the institution is involved in the selection of the recipients (if at all), such involvement must comply with the Fund's policy of awarding scholarships on an objective and non-discriminatory basis as well as the Fund's Conflict of Interest Policy. -
How are recipeints selected??
The Scholarship Selection Committee considers respective ability, educational goals and career ambitions.

How will I be notified if I am chosen as a recipient?
All applicants will be notified in writing by email, whether or not they have been selected to receive a scholarship. Those students selected will download a package from their online account that includes a scholarship agreement and information about the scholarship terms.

Is this scholarship renewable?
This scholarship is for one year only and is non-renewable. However, students already receiving awards are eligible to reapply each year for the award in competition with other new applicants.

What if I am unable to attend consecutive semesters?
Extenuating circumstances requiring a student to sit out a semester must be explained in writing to CSA. You will be notified of the final decision. If the delay in payment is approved due to extenuating circumstances, the scholarship must be used within 18 months of the date it was awarded.
