What is the application process?
Applications must be submitted online through the Center for Scholarship Administration (CSA) website. There are three steps to complete the application:
1. Click the "create application" button below to answer the prequalifying questions. When you submit these, it will automatically take you to the profile page.
2. Create or update your profile. Save and continue to the online application.
3. Complete the online application. A confirmation email will be sent when the online portion of your application is complete. Applicant should contact CSA if a confirmation email is not received.
4. Mail in, or email, the packet of additional required materials. See "What constitutes a complete application" below.

ELIGIBILITY OF EMPLOYEES
1. All salaried and hourly employees in the United States and Canada.
2. Below the director level
3. With at least 12 consecutive months of service
4. Scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week
5. On active payroll at time application close date
The initial selections will be based on the eligibility criteria as follows:
* Applicant must be a legal dependent child of a qualified, active employee of SAF Holland. Applicants must be a high school senior or a high school graduate.
* Applicant must be 26 years of age or under at the time the application closes.
* Applicant must be enrolled or planning to enroll full-time at an accredited, 501 © (3), two or four year school that offers an associate`s or bachelor's degree.
* Applicant must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
* Applicant must demonstrate financial need.
* Applicant must demonstrate traits of high personal character and leadership.

When is the deadline for submission of materials?
The deadline for submission of all information (including the online Application) is . Materials must be mailed in ONE envelope to SAF HollandScholarship, PO Box 1465 Taylors, SC 29687.
Once an applicant has applied online and submitted the Application they will receive an email immediately letting them know their application has been received and reminding them to submit by mail the remaining items required to complete the application. Failure to provide the additional materials within the designated time frame will result in an "incomplete" application. Incomplete applications will not be considered for scholarships. - What constitutes a complete application packet?
You must submit the following additional materials:
• Signed Student Authorization and Acknowledgements Form, found in the online application, signed by the scholarship candidate.
Download the Student Authorization and Acknowledgements Form.• Official transcript with grades and cumulative GPA posted through the latest semester.
• Submit a PERSONAL STATEMENT. Submit a 250-500 word at 12 pt font essay on "Why you want the scholarship" and "Reasoning behind career path chosen".
- What is the value of the scholarship award?
This annual scholarship program provides financial assistance to qualified dependents of eligible employees' who are seeking an undergraduate college education by awarding a $2,500 scholarship to up to (4 US and 2 Canada) eligible dependents who best satisfy the selection criteria.
- What institution may I attend?
The recipients must attend full-time a two or four year accredited college or university in which an associate's degree is offered, provided the institution meets the stipulations in the following paragraph.
The institution must be an educational organization that normally maintains a regular faculty and curriculum and normally has a regularly enrolled body of pupils or students in attendance at the place where its educational activities are regularly carried on. -
What if I am unable to attend consecutive semesters?
Extenuating circumstances requiring a student to sit out a semester must be explained in writing to CSA. You will be notified of the final decision. If a recipient is out for a semester and doesn`t receive approval, then that semester is forfeited.

What is the selection process?
The Scholarship Selection Committee shall consist of the CSA committee.
The CSA Committee is an independent third-party organization made up of various community members, including those with ties to the educational field.
The Scholarship Selection Committee shall be required to provide minutes of each meeting held to name recipients.
The Scholarship Selection Committee shall give consideration to the respective ability, academic merit, educational goals, and career ambitions of the applicants as deemed appropriate by the Committee. This is a competitive scholarship program. Personal interviews may be required. Scholarships shall be awarded on an objective and non-discriminatory basis, with neither race, creed, color, sex, age, religion, national origin nor disability being considered. Selections are based on information received from the application and the additional materials received by the deadline. Committee members are urged to select two or three alternate recipients. Decisions of the committee are final and justification for recipient selection(s) by the Scholarship Selection Committee, CSA staff or Collabera, Inc. will not be disclosed under any circumstances. -
How will I be notified if I am chosen as a recipient?
All applicants will be notified in writing by email, whether or not they have been selected to receive a scholarship. Those students selected will download a package from their online account that includes a scholarship agreement and information about the scholarship terms.

Is this scholarship renewable?
This scholarship is non-renewable; however, current recipients may reapply and be considered for additional funding along with other new applicants for a maximum four years. CSA will contact the current students to determine their desire to reapply.
Grade reports will be required at the end of the Fall Semester. The grade report must include the name of the student and the name of the college. It is the responsibility of the recipient to request the grade report.
An official transcript will be required at the end of the Spring Semester. It is the responsibility of the recipient to request the transcript. -
Miscellaneous Information:
In the event of serious malfeasance, breach of traditional conduct, failure to provide requested materials, or conduct involving moral turpitude, a scholarship may be terminated at any time within the discretion of the Scholarship Selection Committee and concurrence of the Trustee, whose decisions shall be final and binding.
Subject to the terms of the Fund's governing documents, applicable law, and Internal Revenue Service requirements, these operating procedures may be amended at any time by the Trustee in its discretion. Any modifications or changes shall be furnished to the members of the Scholarship Selection Committee then serving.
