Applicants must be planning to attend, or be actively attending, North Carolina Agriculture and Technical State University in Greensboro, NC; OR Georgia Institute of Technology, in Atlanta, GA.
Applicants must be planning to pursue, or be enrolled in, Engineering or Business curriculum.
Applicants must demonstrate financial need.
Applicants must demonstrate traits of high personal character, attitude and leadership.
Applicants must be US citizens.

What is the application process?
Applications must be submitted online through the Center for Scholarship Administration (CSA) website. There are three steps to complete the application:
1. Click the "create application" button below to answer the prequalifying questions. When you submit these, it will automatically take you to the profile page.
2. Create or update your profile. Save and continue to the online application.
3. Complete the online application. A confirmation email will be sent when the online portion of your application is complete. Applicant should contact CSA if a confirmation email is not received.
4. Mail in, or email, the packet of additional required materials. See "What constitutes a complete application" below.

• SHORT ANSWER QUESTIONS. Please answer the following three (3) short answer questions in 250 words or less each.

2. Drive and Adapt: Is there anything you have achieved in your life that you are particularly proud of?

Submit a SIGNED copy of parents` FEDERAL TAX FORM 1040 (pages one and two only) for the latest year these forms were actually filed. In case of divorced parents, only the custodial parent`s (and current spouse's if remarried) financial information will be required. If you have already submitted your FAFSA submission summary, please submit your FEDERAL TAX FORM 1040 in order to be considered
- What is the value of the scholarship award?
There will be two (2) scholarships awarded in the amount $10,000 each. Each scholarship is awarded for one academic year. The awards will be applied to the cost of tuition, lab fees, books and supplies (including a laptop if necessary). Scholarship awards must be used in the year they are awarded. Recipients are required to access the Payment Form from www.scholarshipprograms.org home page. They must sign the form and submit it to their college to certify their enrollment and forward to the Scholarship Director for payment. All grades and Payment Forms must be received no later than OCTOBER 1. No payments will be made after OCTOBER 1 for any reason. Failure to present the required materials may result in the loss of the scholarship. Unused funds will be credited to the Freudenberg Diversity Scholarship Fund.
- What college may I attend?
The applicant must be planning to attend, or already attending, one of the following: NC A&T or Georgia Tech and must be majoring in engineering or business.
All recipients must be full-time each semester.- What if I am unable to attend consecutive semesters?
Extenuating circumstances requiring a student to sit out a semester must be explained in writing to CSA. You will be notified of the final decision. If a recipient is out for a semester, then that semester is forfeited.
- What is the selection process?
The CSA Selection Committee will consider the respective ability, educational goals, financial need and career ambitions of each applicant. CSA will send the semifinalist list to Freudenberg's Project Coordinators for review and consideration, after which the Freudenberg Group will notify CSA of the finalist (i.e., award winner) and an alternate for each scholarship at each University. Selection decisions are final and justification for recipient selection(s) by the Scholarship Selection Committee, CSA staff or the Freudenberg Group will not be disclosed under any circumstances.
- How will I be notified if I am chosen as a recipient?
All applicants will be notified in writing by email, whether or not they have been selected to receive a scholarship. Those students selected will download a package from their online account that includes a scholarship agreement and information about the scholarship terms.
- Is this scholarship renewable?
This scholarship is non-renewable; however, current recipients may reapply and be considered in competition with new applicants. Previous applicants will receive preference when reapplying. CSA will notify current recipients to determine if they wish to reapply for the scholarship.
